Pictures of Texas

Skimmers are very graceful and beautiful birds, sometimes flying in large groups performing incredible maneuvers.  These skimmers were resting on a shallow flat at the East end of Galveston when all at once they took off, giving me an opportunity to photograph them in flight. Using my motor drive, I was able to get several shots off before they were out of range.
