Angleton, Texas

Photography by George Hosek

The County seat of Brazoria County is a thriving community that offers the best of both worlds-a small town atmosphere with many of the conveniences of a big city.

Located just minutes from Houston to the North and the Gulf to the South. Angleton boasts excellent schools, affordable housing, a low crime rate, and the opportunity for families to live and work in a nurturing environment.

The Real Estate market continues to grow by leaps and bounds. With more families choosing to locate in the Angleton area, new home development is on the rise with the city averaging 8 to 10 new home permits each month.

The demand for  homes by first-time buyers, previously owned homes, and move-up buyers is also very strong. With homes in the Angleton area ranging from the $70,000's upwards of $500,000, there is something for everyone.

Angleton is fortunate to have several new subdivisions as well as the revitalization of older homes and neighborhoods.

From homes built in the early 1900's to modern apartments and townhomes, first time homes and luxurious estates, Angleton has them all!

Brazoria County Historical Museum exists to continuously discover, preserve, and make known the history of Brazoria County.

The Museum is housed in Brazoria county's Historic Courthouse, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark, and the State Archaeological landmark.

Constructed in 1897, this historic courthouse once was slated for demolition, however concerned residents rallied to save and then to preserve this remarkable structure.
