When my next door neighbors told
me about this beached shrimp boat I
wasted no time. The next morning I pulled out of the driveway at 4:00 AM hoping
for
clear weather and a beautiful sunrise. The drive South down IH 45 to
Galveston was very
promising, misty low level fog rolled across the windshield. Clear skies
and no
wind were the perfect conditions for the type of images that
I wanted.
When I finally found the boat, soft blue light was just starting to
penetrate the darkness, a few minutes later the horizon turned pink and red.
I set up my equipment and started to concentrate on the scene. I tried many different
compositions, lens and exposures throughout the morning. But the one above
is the one that I liked the best.
